In September 2023, Ronnie Parrillo '21 received an Excellence in Broadcasting award from the New York State Broadcasters Association for Outstanding Weathercast. Ronnie is a junior at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications majoring in Broadcast & Digital Journalism and minoring in Political Science at the Maxwell School for Citizenship and Public Affairs. He is also a news and weather anchor, and Associate General Manager at CitrusTV, a radio host at WJPZ-FM, and a reporter for WAER News, Syracuse's NPR affiliate. This past summer he served as an intern at NBC 10 here in Rhode Island.
Ronnie has been on-air via radio since he was in middle school at Wheeler, where he co-hosted a weekly news and talk show on WELH-FM.
