This month, student-made mockumentary series Admitted won the Houston Comedy Film Festival award for Best Comedy Series Episode. Alongside fellow Boston University students, Wheeler alum Chantel Kardous '21 wrote the show's first season, which consisted of five episodes. Over Summer 2022, she participated in biweekly Writer's Rooms during which writers did episodic table reads and exchanged feedback on scenes. During filming and post-production, Chantel also served as Head of Marketing and Associate Producer for the show. The first season of Admitted is available on here on YouTube

Since Admitted's wrapping, Chantel has founded STUDS, a screenwriting club at Boston University that has spent this semester writing the first season of a comedy TV show. She serves as the Head Writer and Executive Producer of the series.

At Wheeler, Chantel kick-started her passion for writing through working with Robert Koppel of the Aerie program
