Arvind Sridhar '20 on AI and Identity

A Mentorship in Tech Moment

During community meeting on February 9, Upper School students heard from Arvind Sridhar '20, a Computer Science and Economics major specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Arvind spoke on the intersection of AI, art, business, and ethics, with particular insights into AI's limits and ability to foster and inspire human creativity.

Arvind also shared advice about "embracing the mosaic" of one's identity at Wheeler and beyond. For him, Wheeler was a place where he could play varsity basketball, sing with the 18 Wheelers, try his hand at improv comedy, join the debate team, and serve as co-president of his senior class. At Brown, he currently serves as co-president of the Brown Entrepreneurship Program, the largest entrepreneurship club at Brown consisting of 120 students, as well as President of the Brown Lecture Board, an organization dedicated to bringing in prominent speakers from all over the world to the university. He urged students to celebrate the multitudes within themselves, rejecting any one definition of self in college and beyond.

Following graduation from Brown University this spring, Arvind will pursue a Product Manager career at Adobe in San Francisco. Thank you for spending time with Wheeler, Arvind!
