Cynthia Chace ’70 is the 2020 Alumni Association Founder’s Award recipient. A 1970 graduate and long time alumna volunteer, Cynthia attended Pine Manor College and Georgetown University, where she graduated in 1974.
Cynthia served as President of the Wheeler Alumni Board from 1987-1989 and was a member of the Board of Trustees from 1994-2000. She has also served on the Reunion Committee, and was a class Annual Fund agent, assisting Wheeler to remain engaged with her fellow 1970 classmates.
During her time on the Board of Trustees, Cynthia was a big proponent of the creation of The Hamilton School. The Hamilton School at Wheeler serves elementary and middle school children who have great overall cognitive ability, but who struggle with reading, organization, and study skills due to dyslexia, attention-deficit disorder (ADHD), executive function deficits, or other learning differences.
