We are excited to announce the newest members of the Wheeler Athletics Hall of Fame!

The 2022 Wheeler Athletics HOF Class includes Jane Forman '80, Konique Ballah '98, and the 2010 and 2011 Wheeler Girls Soccer Teams.

Among her many accomplishments, Jane Forman '80 was a four-time Rhode Island champion who never lost a match or even a set during her time as a Warrior. After Wheeler, she was an All-American at Clemson and ACC female athlete of the year before having a distinguished professional tennis career.

Konique Ballah '98 is a five-time New England Champion in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. Prior to 1996, the Warriors track team did not exist and Konique ran with nearby Hope High School. It was her talent that helped motivate Wheeler to decide it was time to formalize its own program. She is still the RI Track and Field indoor record holder in the 500m, which she set in 1997. After Wheeler, she ran at Brown University and was a two-time team captain for the Bears.

The 2010 and 2011 Wheeler Girls Soccer Teams were among the most dominating teams in all of New England soccer, accumulating a two-year record of 37 wins and only 4 losses. During a two-year stretch in SENE league play, the Warriors captured back-to-back Championships while not relinquishing a single goal to their opposition. During the full two-year stretch, which included non-league matches against some of the strongest teams in New England, the team gave up only 11 goals. Both teams qualified for the NEPSAC Tournament and in 2010 they reached the NEPSAC Championship Game. Many of the girls on the team went on to have memorable NCAA careers on the pitch.
