Beloved former Wheeler teacher, Peter Hufstader passed away on April 19th at the age of 84. His obituary is available here. Mr. Hufstader's name is often brought up in conversations with the many Wheeler alumni he had the pleasure of teaching.
An avid sailor, Mr. Hufstader's ashes will be scattered in the waters outside of Edgartown, MA.
We send our condolences to the entire family including his wife, former teacher Katharine Hufstader, his daughters Louisa Hufstader-Rush '77, Elizabeth Hufstader Balay '81, Alice Hufstader Moore '84, and son Chris Hufstader.
